Mimosa Festival

The Mimosa Festival is a traditional tourist and promotional event in honor of the mimosa flower, one of the most important and longest-running in our region. It was founded in 1969 by the Tourist Association of Boka Kotorska and the Assembly of the Municipality of Herceg Novi. During February and March, Herceg Novi hosts masquerade balls, carnivals, concerts, and numerous children's, art, and sports programs. Traditionally, the most visited events, along with concerts, are the mimosa harvest on the Riviera, known as the fish and wine festival, the international carnival procession, and the burning of the carnival. Herceg Novi April Theater Festival (HAPS)

HAPS is a theater festival launched in 1996 as an event that brought together mostly amateur theater companies. Since 2002, the festival has been entering the process of professionalization and since then has included gatherings of professional theater artists and ensembles. HAPS has a revue character, and the selection of performances with a thematic definition aims to encourage the audience to actively compare works that differ in form and approach to the topic. International Children's Carnival

The International Children's Carnival in Herceg Novi is traditionally held in early June, when a procession of young carnival participants symbolically takes over the "keys to the city". The event is organized by NGO Omladinski centar Herceg Novi, with the support of the Municipality and the Tourist Organization of Herceg Novi.

International Classical Music Festival Days of Music

Days of Music is held every year from July 10 to 20. The festival was founded in Herceg Novi, then for several years it was held in Sveti Stefan, and since its renewal in 2004 it has become a regular fixture among Herceg Novi festivals. Under the artistic direction of Prof. Boris Kraljević, Days of Music brings concert performances in the Park Hall and on the open stages of Herceg Novi, bringing together top international and domestic musicians. Operosa Montenegro Opera Festival

Operosa is an international festival of opera and classical music. It includes international co-productions and guest appearances, as well as opera productions and concerts, created and performed by renowned professionals and new talents. The festival was first held in 2013 in Herceg Novi, and since 2015 it has been awarded the EFFE label of exceptional European festivals. With the support of the city, the festival is organized by the Operosa Foundation, founded by Finnish mezzo-soprano Katherine Haataja with the purpose of promoting young talents in opera and classical music. International Book Fair Book Square

The Book Fair in Herceg Novi was first organized in Igalo in 1994, and since 2003 it has been located in the heart of the Old Town. This publishing festival aims to popularize books and reading, to offer visitors the best and latest editions of domestic and foreign fine literature and literature. Cyrillic Square is a cultural and spiritual event designed and realized for the first time in 2014. The program, which takes place in mid-August, includes lectures, themed evenings, presentations of new Cyrillic written works, literary editions, publications, documentary and short film forms, as well as performances by choirs, ethno groups, vocal ensembles, folklore ensembles. Guitar art summer fest

"Guitar art summer fest" is an international summer classical guitar festival that has brought world-class musical names to Herceg Novi such as Luz Casal, Jorgos Dalaras, Tomi Emanuel, Dulsa Ponteš, Vlatko Stefanovski... Herceg Novi Film Festival – Montenegro Film Festival is the most important film event in Montenegro. The idea of ​​a film festival at Herceg Novi’s Kanli Tower has been constantly developing since 1987, when the First Yugoslav Film Directing Festival was held. Today, the festival has the status of an event of special importance for the culture of Montenegro, whose titular bodies are the Municipality of Herceg Novi and the relevant Ministry. "Jazz Bay" Festival

"Jazz Bay" was founded in 2013, with the aim of making Herceg Novi a host for concerts by internationally renowned jazz artists and bands. Herceg Novi Comic Strip Festival

HSF is one of the most attractive European events in honor of the ninth art, which brings together world-class comic strip artists in Herceg Novi, as well as attractive musical guests. The association of comic strip lovers and the Herceg Novi Comic Strip Festival event were founded in 2007 by the visual artist and comic strip artist Nikola Ćurčin, with the aim of popularizing comics and educating about the ninth art.
